4. PARKS –Contract Award (Rocky Houston)
Order Awarding Contract in the matter of RFP#127 Douglas County Windy Cove A Restroom Replacement. The lowest bid was Benny Hempstead Excavating in the amount of $85,600.00.

5. PARKS –Resolution (Rocky Houston)
Resolution to delegate authority to Rocky Houston, Parks Director, to apply for and sign a Local Government Grant Application for the Windy Cove B Campground rehabilitation project on behalf of Douglas County.

6. PLANNING –Planning Advisory Committee Reappointments (Keith Cubic)
Reappointment of six members to the Planning Advisory Committee (PAC). Paul Dailey reappointed to the Coastal PAC-term expires March 5, 2020; Corvin Maddox reappointed to the North County PAC-term expires August 20, 2020; Nancy Benzel reappointed to the North County PAC-term expires March 5, 2020; Elizabeth Hughes reappointed to the Roseburg/Douglas PAC-term expires September 17, 2020; Vicki Howren reappointed to the South County PAC-term expires March 5, 2020 and Sharon Lozano reappointed to the South County PAC-term expires August 20, 2020.

7. PUBLIC WORKS –Order Authorizing Purchase (Scott Adams)
Order Authorizing the Purchase of Four (4) new Caterpillar Model 12M3 BR Motor Graders from Peterson Machinery Co., under the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract #032515-Cat. Expenditure of $946,201.88.

8. PUBLIC WORKS –Intergovernmental Agreement Amendment (Scott Adams)
First Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement Number 2016-0826 between Douglas County and the City of Sutherlin. Amendment changes payment date of $200,000.00 city contribution to 90 days after project completion.
9. SHERIFF –Contract (John Hanlin)
Contractual Agreement for Deputy Patrols on timberlands for 24 timberland holdings. The Companies agree to pay Douglas County $199,347.25 for 1.5 deputies to patrol their respective timberlands. In addition, the BLM agrees to pay the remaining half (.5) position separately. Term Expiration: June 30, 2018.

13. ADJOURNMENT AND NEXT MEETING
The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held October 18, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, OR. The meeting is available via Video Conferencing to Reedsport citizens at the Reedsport Annex, 680 Fir Street, Reedsport, OR.

 

Douglas County may audio/video record the proceedings of this meeting for future broadcast or other purposes. A copy of any audio/video recording is available upon written request made to the Information Technology department. Cost is $5 per cd/dvd copy plus $2 shipping costs.
